Slash menu reference

Press / on an empty line (or mid-sentence) to open the insert menu, then type to filter it — /h1, /todo, /code — and hit ↵ to insert.

Text

• Paragraph — plain text, the default block
• Heading 1–3 — structure for the page and its outline
• Quote — for pulled or cited text
• Callout — highlighted note with an icon

Lists

• Bulleted list and Numbered list — nest with Tab, un-nest with ⇧Tab
• To-do list — checkboxes; check one off with a click

Code

• Code block — syntax-highlighted, with a language picker on the block. Inside a code block, ⇧↵ adds a line without leaving it.
• Inline code — wrap text in backticks as you type

Media

• Image — upload, paste, or drop a file
• File — attach anything; it’s stored with the page
• Embed — paste a link and let it unfurl

Structure

• Divider — a horizontal rule
• Toggle — a collapsible section for detail you want out of the way
• Columns — side-by-side layout for comparisons and pairings
