Share with a public link

A public link lets anyone open an item without a Snoze account. Pages, notes, dashboards, canvases, and files can all mint one — useful for a spec you want a client to read, a file you’re handing off, or a page you want indexed.

Turn on the link

Open the item and click Share. In the Share tab, find General access and switch it from Workspace only to Anyone with the link, then copy the link and send it anywhere.

By default the link is read-only. For pages and notes you can set its access level to allow commenting, so a signed-out visitor can leave named comments without editing anything. For files you can decide whether visitors may download the original.

What visitors see

Visitors get the content of that one item and nothing else — no sidebar, no workspace, no other items. How richly it renders depends on the kind:

• Pages and notes render in full — text, embeds, and all.
• Files render in full, with download available when you allow it.
• Dashboards and canvases currently fall back to a simpler screen that confirms the item was shared and points to the Snoze app, since their live, interactive surfaces need workspace access to render faithfully.

Want a full public page for a dashboard?

If you need stakeholders to actually see a dashboard’s numbers (not the fallback), use the Publish tab instead of a share link. Publishing a page, dashboard, canvas, or database turns it into a real public website that renders with the same components the app uses — the richer path when the link viewer’s fallback isn’t enough.

Expire, revoke, rotate

A link can carry an expiry so it stops working on its own. You can revoke it at any time — access cuts off immediately. Turning the link off and back on issues a fresh URL and invalidates the old one, which is how you rotate a link that’s been shared too widely.
